JAYDO was awarded the contract to build the new Kallista Sewer Pump Station located on a greenfield site in Kallista, Victoria, to be connected to the new rising mains pipeline. Works included all civil, building, mechanical and electrical works.

  • All civils works to allow construction of building slab, tank and pipework
  • Construction of the sewer pump station building
  • Supply and installation of 2x 110kw progressive cavity pumps, 2.2kw inline macerators and
    ventilation fans
  • Complete fitout of the pump station and related pipework, support system and associated fittings
  • Detailed electrical design of the complete power and control system
  • All electrical works including supply and installation of new 630Amps group metering panel, 320Amps combined main switchboard / motor control center and external 132KW IP55 ABB VSD’s and 70Amps ABB Active front end harmonic filter
  • Complete system testing, commissioning and handover

  • A prolonged commissioning process due to delays by others
  • Delays to the mains power connection due to delays by the power distributor
  • Delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic

Project Outcomes

The Kallista Sewer Pump Station was successfully commissioned initially using power from a diesel generator, later using the mains power.
