Winslow engaged Jaydo for the delivery of approximately 1,100 linear metres of pipeline to prepare for future developments on the land.
The scope of works included:
- Installation of 1,100 linear metres of dual 2,400mm pipeline, with both straight and curved sections
- 250 linear metres of 1,500mm and 1,800mm drainage pipes
- 10 pit structures constructed every few hundred metres of the pipeline
key challenges
- Due to the shortage of pipe supply, works had to be staged to keep up with the rest of the works on site
- 2,400mm pipes were laid in areas where there was a slight curve thus required management using GPS for centreline checks
Value for money
- A new pipe lifting system was manufactured for the works to avoid the use of clutches and to avoid having crew standing on top of the pipe for unhooking
