Jaydo was awarded the Deanside Central Stage 1 Outfall by Spiire. The project was required to provide an outfall for multiple new developments in the Deanside area.

The scope of works included installation of 400 linear metres of new drainage ranging from 2,100mm to 1,050mm in diameter. Including three splay sections, installation under two APA gas transmission lines and 5 structural pits.

Additionally there was construction of a 50,000m3 temporary retarding basin and pump station with 600 linear metres of 125mm PE rising main, as well as construction of a 400m access track to service truck movements as well as future access into the area.

Project outcomes

The new pipeline and retarding basin allows further development of Deanside as well as protecting the current area from flooding during major storm events.
