Construction of stormwater pipes and pits in an urban estate. The Balmain Estate development consisted of multiple stages that will drain into a large outfall.
key challenges
- The terrain of this project was majority hard rock, causing excessive hammering with the excavators. Being a large job with lots of contractors hammering rock meant the pipelaying staging and lines ready to be laid was compartmentalised needing experienced pipelayers to ensure levels were perfect.
key innovations
- To prevent stopping any works, the Jaydo crew worked alongside the client to best utilise the truck movements in and out of site.
value for money
- Pre-trenching long lines with an additional operator saved time and money with crew costs.
