Jaydo was engaged by Melbourne Water to reinstate the Mullum Mullum creek, as it had been severely affected by erosion and the build up of sediment. The works included installing rock beaching along the banks
of the creek, as well as to remove the build up of sediment within the waterway.

key challenges

Working within the waterway and rain events, to minimise the impact of these on the project and the environment, works were undertaken during the known low flow period
Only access into the site was along a public walking track which was subsequently closed to allow for the completion of works
Managing public interactions with the temporary closure of the local walking track, prior to commencing works, the council and local community were notified of the closure and pedestrian control implemented for the duration of the project
