New drinking water (DW) and non-drinking water (NDW) supplies were required for the Craigieburn West precinct. JAYDO was awarded the contract to construct a new PRV station on each water main, namely: WBS715, WBS716, RBS015 and RBS016. The new DW and NDW mains now supply to three pressure zones requiring reducing stations (PRS’s) on each main.

The scope of works included:

  • All civil and structural works including concrete pads, plinths and headwalls
  • Supply and installation of PRV’s, flowmeters, EC probes and all related piping, valves, fittings,
    and pipe supports
  • Design and shop drawings for PRV cabinets and related electrical schematics
  • Supply and installation of 4x new telemetry and control panels
  • Supply, installation and connection of 4x new wet panels including all hydraulic and electrical
    connections
  • All site electrical works including supply and installation of all power, control and
    instrumentation cables, instrumentation, telemetry poles and pole mount lighting
  • Complete system testing, commissioning and handover

  • Prolonged commissioning process due to delays by others
  • Arranging point of mains power supply with the power distributor

project outcomes

The Mickleham Rd Pressure Reducing Stations were successfully tested and commissioned, ready for operation.
