New drinking water (DW) and non-drinking water (NDW) supplies were required for the Craigieburn West precinct. JAYDO was awarded the contract to construct a new PRV station on each water main, namely: WBS715, WBS716, RBS015 and RBS016. The new DW and NDW mains now supply to three pressure zones requiring reducing stations (PRS’s) on each main.
The scope of works included:
- All civil and structural works including concrete pads, plinths and headwalls
- Supply and installation of PRV’s, flowmeters, EC probes and all related piping, valves, fittings,
and pipe supports - Design and shop drawings for PRV cabinets and related electrical schematics
- Supply and installation of 4x new telemetry and control panels
- Supply, installation and connection of 4x new wet panels including all hydraulic and electrical
connections - All site electrical works including supply and installation of all power, control and
instrumentation cables, instrumentation, telemetry poles and pole mount lighting - Complete system testing, commissioning and handover

- Prolonged commissioning process due to delays by others
- Arranging point of mains power supply with the power distributor
project outcomes
The Mickleham Rd Pressure Reducing Stations were successfully tested and commissioned, ready for operation.
